These camshafts feature more exhaust duration and lift than the intake and are designed for applications where a slight sacrifice in low end power is acceptable in exchange for increased mid and upper RPM power. Dual Energy Cams™ are designed for applications where a dual, pattern camshaft (cams that have different lift and duration specs for intake and exhaust valves) is desired. They may be used with an exhaust system that is much more restrictive than the intake. Although the smallest of the Dual Energy Cams™ is compatible with stock valve springs in most applications, we strongly recommend that a new set of COMP Cams(R) valve springs be installed to match the higher output camshaft. It is absolutely required that upgraded valve springs be installed when the 275DEH camshafts are used.
