QA1’s HM Series rod ends are a traditional three-piece chromoly steel male rod end. These precision rod ends are heat treated, are available in right and left hand threads and in Metric and Inch dimensions. In QA1’s 3-Piece rod end, the ball is pressed into a sleeve that is swaged around the ball. After swaging, the unit is called the insert. The O.D. of the insert is then turned down and faced off to square up the sides for staking into a rod end body. This unit offers better ball-to-race conformity for tighter tolerances.
