These finely crafted two piece timing covers look great, but their real beauty is in the time they'll save you to do cam work on your LS series motor. Just install the lower half once, then unbolt the top half whenever you need quick access to your cam. You'll never need to drop the oil pan or pull the harmonic balancer to access the cam. The unit incorporates an O-ring seal into the bottom half of the cover that mates with the smoothly machined flange on the upper section to offer a leak-free seal.
