    • STEADi-FLEX SYSTEM
    All-in-one sway control and weight distribution system
    Combines the latest technology, superior performance and maximum versatility with a quick and easy installation.
    Designed with tapered spring bars for a softer ride and better performance. Friction sway control material provides for a quiet ride. Wide spring bars, with a simple pin and clip assembly, reduce wear in the head and on the friction pads.

    • NOTE: This pertains to top mount couplers only. Any bottom mount coupler with a 4 in. to 7 in. frame will work without issue. These values are general guidelines for frame sizes and coupler heights assuming straight level installation. Chain loops and other brackets or accessories are included in the Coupler Offset dimension and must be clear of the Coupler Offset area or modified. For intermediate measurement conditions between green and red, ensure at least 3/4 in. clearance between ball mount and trailer frame rail/accessories. For frame rail depth over 5 in., this includes during steering on flat ground.

    A weight distribution hitch systems is composed of four major elements:
    1. The hitch receiver
    2. The weight distribution kit
    3. The hitch ball
    4. The sway control


    SELECTING THE CORRECT SYSTEM

    1. Determine the tongue weight of your trailer
    2. Estimate the vehicle cargo load
    3. Match the sum of these weights to the proper REESE weight distributing hitch


    HITCH WEIGHT = TONGUE WEIGHT + VEHICLE CARGO LOAD BEHIND REAR AXLE
    Tongue weight includes the trailer tongue weight with full gas, water and waste systems and everything packed inside the trailer.
    Vehicle cargo includes all materials carried in your tow vehicle, such as boat motors, gas cans, tools, etc.


    EXAMPLE: 500 lbs. Tongue Weight + 200 lbs. Vehicle Load Weight = 700 lbs. Total Hitch Weight
    Using the selector shown below, an 800 lbs. weight distributing hitch is adequate.

    FRICTION SWAY CONTROL
    Friction Sway Control uses friction to resist pivotal movement and thereby works againstthe effects of induced sway. It operates on the principle of "stiffening" the coupling between the tow vehicle and trailer.
