The coating is applied by NitroPlate, an industry leader in high temperature coatings, on select SS-Series, Q-Series, and OFX-Series carburetors for QFT™. This proprietary coating is oven cured and provides protection up to 600 Degrees. QFT's Black Diamond™ Series carburetors offer a combination of form and function that Is unsurpassed in the marketplace. From street rod and street machine to drag race applications, the Black Diamond coating provides a superior satin black finish that cleans easily and retains its appearance longer than competitor coatings. Not only does the Black Diamond™ coating offer exceptional good looks, it actually reduces fuel temperature in the fuel bowl for superior performance. The coating lowers vapor pressure and helps to reduce stumbling which is ideal for street cars.
