The extruded aluminum construction of the cover helps keep the weight down without sacrificing durability and strength. The Switchblade Metal features a pull strap so the user can operate the cover from the tailgate. It also has a built-in, full width handle and continuous tension spring to provide a smooth action from either side of the bed. The tough powder coat finish helps protect the cover from any dents and scratches, and helps add a rugged but sleek look to the cover. The canister already features a compact design with angled edges for extra clearance. However, for 100 Percent full bed access, the canister can be quickly removed without the need for any special tools. No drilling required for installation. To install the Switchblade Metal tonneau cover, the only tools that are needed is a 7/16 Inch wrench and a Phillips screwdriver. The Switchblade Metal features built-in channels that work to move most of the water away from the bed and out via the draining tubes. Some vehicles may require drilling to install the draining tubes.
