The oversized K&N 16 Inch air filter top and base plates can be paired with a variety of 16 Inch K&N air filters for boosting the performance in carbureted race cars. The plates are made from lightweight aluminum with a spun aluminum finish featuring K&N logos embossed on the outer edge of the top plate. The base plate fits carburetors with a 7-5/16 Inch air horn flange and drops the filter 1-1/2 Inches below the carb flange. The drop base design helps to maximize air filter height while still clearing the hood in many custom racing applications.
