Driveshaft & Axles:

A driveshaft, also known as a propeller shaft, is a crucial component of any motor vehicle. It is a rotating mechanical cylinder that primarily works on transmitting torque and rotation, connecting different parts of the vehicle that cannot be connected directly due to distance or the need for flexibility in their relative movement. Most often, it serves to connect transmissions and differentials in a vehicle. The driveshaft is responsible for transmitting the engine's rotational power, or the torque, to the vehicle's axles.

On the other hand, axles are vital components in a wheel's spinning process, ensuring smooth and stable rotations while bearing the weight of the vehicle and its passengers. They are large, sturdy steel shafts that connect the front or rear wheels through wheel bearings or hubs. Axles can be split into two categories, namely, "drive axles" and "dead axles." Drive axles are connected to the engine via the driveshaft and turns under the engine's power, whereas dead axles are not connected to the engine and only turn when the vehicle is moving.
