All BILSTEIN B3 springs are produced exactly according to the vehicle manufacturers' specifications in original equipment quality. The springs in the BILSTEIN B3 range are therefore identical to series production parts in terms of manufacture, design and quality. The base material is high-quality chrome-vanadium or chrome-silicon steel, which is hot-seated several times after the forming process. This eliminates later height losses. A special shot blasting process compresses the surfaces of the springs and, following phosphating, they are coated with a flexible epoxy powder coating for optimum surface protection.
