The Heavy-Duty pressure plate allows for a 20 to 50 Percent increase in clamp load over the stock unit. ACT’s Heavy-Duty pressure plate features precision CNC machined parts, drive straps and rivets to securely locate contact face to the cover for quiet, trouble-free operation. The Heavy-Duty pressure plate will have a stock to moderate pedal feel. ACT pressure plates feature creative diaphragm designs to increase clamp load, reduce deflection and maximize clutch life. All diaphragms endure an exclusive four-stage, heat-treating process for unparalleled performance. The Heavy-Duty pressure plate meets SFI Specification 1.1. ACT’s 4-pad rigid race discs are made with high quality, ceramic friction materials and all friction pads are measured, sorted and matched before assembly to ensure each disc is uniform in thickness. The chrome-moly hub is heat-treated for strength and durability, and the lightweight, rigid design allows for quicker shifts and smooth, trouble-free service. With the 4-pad rigid race disc engagement is harsher, but shifting is faster. The 4-pad rigid race disc is well-suited for the smaller disc sizes in smaller engines. This disc is not recommended for street use. All ACT race discs are certified as meeting SFI Specification 1.1 and are legal in all racing organizations that require SFI certification.Features
